Haptic feedback

Z Assist confirms actions through the phone's Taptic engine so you can work by feel without looking away from the frame: • Tool on / off, favourite cycling and every menu pick give a short selection tick. • Top exposure chips (program, ISO, f, shutter, WB, EV, res/fps, codec…), the right-rail buttons and the MONITORING / CAMERA SETUP / AUDIO / SETTINGS tabs tick on every tap; long-press = firmer tap. • Slow camera writes — codec, res/fps, WB mode — give a Success buzz when the body accepts them; any refused write from the HUD gives a Warning buzz together with the card. • REC start / stop, SNAP and TAKE PICTURE give a firm tap. • Tap-AF: tick on the tap, Success buzz when focus is confirmed (green frame), Warning when it fails (red). • ◁ ▷ subject / eye switch: tick on press, Success when the body actually switched, Warning if it kept the old frame. • Exposure program pick (HUD or Body Control): Success when the body confirms the new program, Warning if it settled on something else or never confirmed within 20 s. • Body Control: tap on press, Success when the camera accepted a change, Warning on a locked or rejected control. • Manual-focus dial: a bump when the slider reaches the A or B focus-pull stop. • Connection: Warning when the link drops, Success when the automatic reconnect lands, Error if it fails. • Gallery: Success after a clip is saved to Photos or its cache is removed.

Options → SYSTEM → Haptics holds the master switch and two strengths: TAPS & TOGGLES (the tick on buttons, chips, tabs, menu rows and tool toggles) and CAMERA CONFIRMATIONS (the Success / Warning buzz when the body accepts or refuses a change). Each is Off / Light / Medium / Strong — Off mutes only that class, Light turns the iOS pattern into one soft tap, Strong adds a heavy tap — plus TEST HAPTIC (one tap at the taps strength, then one confirmation). If the test does nothing, check iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics → System Haptics and Accessibility → Touch → Vibration. All haptic settings travel with presets.
