Body Control

[IMAGE / VIDEO: Body Control — screenshot / clip]

Body Control mirrors the camera's own menu system — every setting the camera exposes, organised by category, live and editable from the phone. Open it from the SETTINGS tab on the Monitor screen.

• Padlocks come from the body, not from the app: a tile greys out when the camera reports the setting read-only in its current mode (for example Aperture in AUTO, Shutter while Slow Motion is on, or the video HF-flicker flag in Angle mode). The same rule drives the HUD tool locks, so both screens always agree. • Values refresh live from the body: instantly on the camera's own announcements, with follow-up reads a few seconds later for settings the body changes silently, and a full sweep of every tile roughly every 40 s while the page is open. • White balance uses Nikon's own menu names in every picker (Direct sunlight, Incandescent, Choose color temperature, Preset manual…); chips and tiles use short forms (Sunlight, Incand., 5600K, PRE). • EXPOSURE table: MODE · EV COMP · WB · ISO · SHUTTER · IRIS · HF FLICKER. In video, ISO shows the value the camera has set — in R3D NE the R3D ISO with its base band (800 / 6400), in every other codec the Mode-M ISO — and the metered value only while Auto ISO is active.
